The right to restrict processing
You can ask us to limit how we use your personal information in these situations:
- If you think your information is wrong and we need time to check it.
- If we used your information in the wrong way and you don’t want us to delete it.
- If we don’t need your information any more, but you need it to help with a legal case.
- If you have told us you don’t want us to use your information and we are checking if we have a good reason to keep using it.
This is called the right to restrict processing. It is different from the right to change your information or the right to say no to us using it.
Sometimes, as good practice, we may stop using your information while we check if it is correct or if we are allowed to use it.
