Alarms / shut off systems / Telecare

There are various types of alarms and shut-off systems designed to detect gas, smoke, and water, helping to keep individuals safe within the home. This also includes equipment provided as part of a telecare package, as well as devices that can be linked to a telecare system.

Automatic phone dialling

Auto diallers usually come with a pendant alarm button which, if activated, will trigger the base unit to phone a short sequence of telephone numbers. Please note, these do not replace recommended telecare careline systems.

Bath lifts and hoists

Includes bath lifts and hoists that have been designed to assist access in and out of the bath. It is advisable to seek professional advice from an occupational therapist before purchasing any form of bath lift or hoist.

Bath rails

Includes examples of rails that are attached to the bath or area around the bath. It is advisable to seek professional advice from an occupational therapist before purchasing any form of grab rail.
