Activity monitoring

These systems monitor movement within the home without being too intrusive. A carer or relative can check (without cameras) that someone is safe and well, without being present. They use sensors that are triggered when movement is detected.

Alarms / shut off systems / Telecare

There are various types of alarms and shut-off systems designed to detect gas, smoke, and water, helping to keep individuals safe within the home. This also includes equipment provided as part of a telecare package, as well as devices that can be linked to a telecare system.

Bath rails

Includes examples of rails that are attached to the bath or area around the bath. It is advisable to seek professional advice from an occupational therapist before purchasing any form of grab rail.

Door systems

Includes intercom systems and doorbells which flash, vibrate or sound loudly.

Fold down rails

Help in the house and continence management

These products also known as paging systems, can raise an alarm or trigger a pager within the range of an average house and garden, alerting the carer or relative when needed.

These systems are designed to help carers or relatives keep someone safe and supported, particularly if they are prone to wandering or need supervision.
