Become a community panel member

As a volunteer, you’ll join a referral panel. This is a meeting where:

  • A young person who has committed a crime talks about what happened.
  • The person harmed (the victim) can say how it affected them.
  • Everyone works together to agree a plan to make things right.

What you’ll do

As a panel member, you’ll:

  • Help young people take responsibility for their actions
  • Support them to make better choices
  • Help repair the harm caused
  • Encourage them to be part of their community

Who can volunteer?

You can apply if you:

  • Are over 18
  • Are a good listener and communicator
  • Care about your community
  • Want to make a difference
