Once a hive of industrial activity, this area has now been restored into a habitat for a wide variety of wildlife.

Cannock Chase Country Park is one of the largest country parks in England.

The reservoir at Chasewater was first created as a canal feeder and remains the largest canal feeder reservoir in use today.

Consall Nature Park is situated within the beautiful valley of the River Churnet. The site is owned by Staffordshire County Council, and now under the management of RSPB.

Froghall Wharf is some three miles north of Cheadle in North Staffordshire within the beautiful Churnet Valley at the end of the Cauldon Canal.

Hanbury Common Picnic Place is a small area of brambles and trees with beautiful views over the Dove Valley.

Situated approximately 2 miles west of Trentham and four miles south of Newcastle, Hanchurch Hills Picnic Site provides the setting for the Hanchurch Hills Walks.

The greenway is an old railway line between Leek and north of Rudyard Lake.
