Overview
The Infrastructure Development and Improvements team is made up of a number of specialists who carry out a variety of functions to support Developers and new development sites in the County.
What does the team do?
The team includes Highways Control, who review planning applications that affect transport; Section Agreements, who handle the adoption of newly built roads in the county; and Infrastructure Plus, which manages the County Council’s strategic partnership with Amey.
The Infrastructure Plus Design & Build Service
Infrastructure+ is a contract that delivers a wide range of highway services, including infrastructure management, transport planning, environmental services, structures design and maintenance, and highway maintenance.
Highway works for new developments can be designed and built under the I+ contract. This end-to-end service offers efficiencies and cost savings, with Amey Consulting handling the design and Amey Highways managing construction—both fully aligned with the Council’s standards and expectations. Choosing this option removes the need for a separate technical design check, streamlining the process and reducing time and costs for developers.
