Organisations must be registered with us to apply for the following permits:
- Placement of materials, skips and other items on the highway
- Projections over the highway
- Erection of scaffolding and hoarding
- Temporary excavations (permit to dig)
- Road closures and traffic management
How much does it cost?
There is no cost to register your organisation with us.
How do I register?
When registering, you must send copies of the following documents:
- All applicants: Proof of public liability insurance with a minimum cover of £5 million per claim, with no limit on the number of claims
- Skips and waste disposal services: Proof of waste transfer licence
- Scaffolds: Proof of qualification to erect, maintain and dismantle scaffolding
- Excavations on the highway: Proof of NRSWA 1991 accreditation with a valid NRSWA card
