Terms and conditions - parking permits
- Permit holders must follow traffic laws, the Highway Code, and good driving practice.
- Vehicles in a permit area must display a valid permit during the times shown on signs. If no times are shown, the scheme runs 24/7, including bank holidays.
- The permit must be visible through the windscreen and show the reference number, vehicle registration, scheme ID, and expiry date.
- A permit is only valid for the scheme shown on it. Always check the scheme matches the signs.
- A permit does not guarantee a parking space. Bays may be closed or suspended, and parking during these times could lead to a penalty charge notice (PCN).
- Visitor permits can only be used by genuine visitors or the scheme member. They cannot be used by non-members to access places outside the scheme area.
- Visitor permits are the responsibility of the scheme member who bought them.
- Permits cannot be transferred to new residents or businesses.
- Copying or altering a permit is not allowed.
- Changes, replacements for lost or damaged permits, and renewals involve an admin fee.
- Permits must be renewed annually by the holder. No reminders will be sent.
- No refunds are given if you cancel before expiry.
- Intimidation, harassment, or property damage is unacceptable and may lead to exclusion from the scheme.
- Placing cones, bins, or other obstructions on the road may be a criminal offence under Section 137 of the Highways Act 1980 and should be reported to the police.
- Breaking these rules may result in a PCN, withdrawal of your permit without refund, and exclusion from future membership.
