How much does it cost?

  • All drivers must pass a medical clearance.
  • Medical assessments are free for Staffordshire County Council employees if carried out by the council’s occupational health unit.
  • Other organisations may be charged between £45 and £100 depending on the occupational health provider.
  • The driving assessment fee for the 2024/25 financial year is £99.00 per assessment.

What is the scheme?

This scheme is for drivers who want to carry passengers in a minibus. It is open to any organisation that would like their drivers assessed. A permit is issued—usually valid for 5 years—if the driver passes a practical assessment.
