Claiming travel expenses

In some cases, we meet our legal duty to provide travel assistance by reimbursing travel costs. These must be agreed with us in advance.

We won’t process claims that haven’t been pre-approved.

Before you apply

Read the following before completing the online application form:

  • If this is your first claim, you’ll need to enter your bank details — have them ready.
  • If you’ve claimed for the same child before, you don’t need to re-enter bank details unless they’ve changed.
  • Please allow up to 28 days for the payment to reach your bank account from the date we receive your form.
  • Only claim for days your child attended school — do not claim for any absences.
  • If you’re claiming for bus tickets and don’t have the tickets, still complete the form. Keep tickets for future claims, as we may not pay without proof.
  • You must submit at least one claim per term. All claims for the current academic year must be received by 31 July.
  • We may check attendance with the school to confirm your child’s attendance.
  • If you claim incorrectly and are overpaid, we will deduct the amount from future payments or ask you to repay it.
