Who is this course aimed at?

The course is aimed at Staffordshire residents aged 19+.  This part time course is aimed at adults who wish to build skills to help with future employment.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements.

Course Content

You will learn about the expectations of different volunteer settings, how to communicate effectively, follow instructions, work as part of a team, and present yourself in a professional way. We will also explore how volunteering can help you grow personally and prepare you for paid work or further training.

Learning Methods

You will be taught face to face by a friendly and experienced teacher

Learner Support

Classes are small to ensure your teacher can provide you with the help and support you need to enable you to confidently access the class learning materials. Individual specific needs will be discuss at the start of the course. 

Course Assessments

There are no tests or exams. To ensure you are on track, and understanding the course, your tutor will use verbal questions, observations and an individual learning plan to monitor your progress against the course outcomes.

Learning Materials

We will provide the workbooks. You will need to bring a pen and paper to take notes and to be able to complete the workbooks during the course.

What can learners do next/progress onto?

During the course, you and your teacher will explore progression options depending on your individual needs.

 Are there any fees?

This course is fully funded and so there are no course fees.
