Business Continuity Plan for schools

Templates and training to help schools prepare for major incidents that could affect people, premises or operations.

Last updated: 6th January

Why do Schools need a Business Continuity Plan?

It is important that each school has adequate arrangements in place, that allow it to respond effectively to a range of incidents that may impact significantly on the school.

The BCP documents the arrangements a school has in place to respond to a major incident, which threatens personnel, premises and/or the operational structure of the school.

The template includes a range of generic information, including how to contact the County Council's Director On Call in the event of the most serious incidents.

Our Director on Call can be contacted on 07989 734968

Templates

The template can be completed by the school entering its own details, arrangements and contact information; the areas that each school needs to input its own information are highlighted in yellow in the template.

The Business Continuity Plan template for schools has created by the Staffordshire Civil Contingencies Unit.
