Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Joint Municipal Waste Management Strategy

Following extensive public consultation in 2007, the Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Municipal Waste Strategy was completed and published together with the Zero Waste Strategy 2020.

Last updated: 12th November

In 2007, after public consultation, we published the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Municipal Waste Strategy and the Zero Waste Strategy 2020.

Since then, waste management has changed. New laws and national priorities meant we needed a new approach.

Councils in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent worked together to update the Joint Waste Management Strategy. This sets out how we will manage waste in Staffordshire up to 2020 and keeps the Zero Waste goal.

We wrote the updated strategy in 2013 to add extra outcomes for the remaining years. You can read or download all documents and reports online.
