Ownership
Each service area is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and relevance of its own digital content. To do this effectively, teams will need to have an account that allows them to manage and update their content directly. This ensures that information remains current, aligned with user needs, and reflective of any changes in services or priorities. Without active ownership and regular updates, content risks becoming outdated or misleading, which can negatively impact user experience and trust.
Creating content is just the first step. To keep our website accurate and helpful, each page should follow a simple process: plan it, publish it, review it regularly, and remove it when it’s no longer needed. This guide explains how editors should manage content over time and what is expected at each stage.
The content principles and getting started sections will guide editors through the key things to consider when creating new content and the standards to follow.
Editors should always make sure information is correct and up to date. They must follow this framework when working on digital content. If needed, they should collaborate with subject experts to ensure accuracy.
Before any new content goes live, the Digital team will check it to make sure it meets our framework’s standards. This helps us keep our digital content high quality and consistent. If content doesn’t meet the framework's standards, we’ll refer editors back to it with recommendations.
