Insurance & health and safety
Keeping your PA safe – and protecting yourself – is essential. As an employer, you have legal duties under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. You must identify risks, take steps to reduce them, and make sure your PA works in a safe environment.
Employer’s Liability Insurance
This is a legal requirement for anyone employing staff. It protects you if your PA is injured or becomes ill while working for you.
Staffordshire County Council will pay up to £90 per year towards your policy.
