Positive Futures
Positive Futures is a national programme that uses sport to help young people stay out of trouble and build a better future.
It’s for young people aged 10 to 19 who live in areas where life can be tough.
What does it do?
The programme helps young people:
- Make good choices
- Build trust with adults
- Find new hobbies and interests
- Get into school, college or work
What activities are there?
Young people can:
- Try different sports
- Join sports clubs
- Learn coaching and leadership skills
- Take part in education courses
- Volunteer or get part-time jobs
Why is it important?
Sport helps young people feel part of something. It gives them confidence and helps them stay away from crime.
Positive Futures helps young people believe in themselves and work towards a brighter future.
