If you're finding it hard to pay for food, toiletries or other basic items, there is help available in Staffordshire.

Food Banks

Food banks give free food and household items to people who need them. They are run by local charities and community groups.

Free Period Products

Staffordshire County Council has a Period Support Scheme to help anyone who needs free pads or tampons.

  • You can find them in community libraries in Stafford, Cannock, Burton, Newcastle and Kidsgrove.
  • Products are also available at The Voice Project in Stafford.
  • Look for posters in libraries or check the toilets for supplies.
  • You don’t need to ask—just take what you need.

You can also get free period products from:

  • Food banks
  • Morrisons supermarkets – ask for “Sandy” at the customer service desk
  • Schools and colleges – many offer free products through a government scheme

Free School Meals

If you’re on a low income and get certain benefits, your child may be able to get free school meals.

  • School meals help make sure children eat well and can save you money.
