Adoption Statement - Minerals Local Plan for Staffordshire (2015 - 2030)
Following the rules in the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, we confirm that the Minerals Local Plan for Staffordshire (2015–2030) was adopted by Staffordshire County Council on 16 February 2017.
The Plan sets out land for mineral extraction and includes planning rules for deciding mineral development applications up to 2030. It replaces the policies from the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Minerals Local Plan (1994–2006).
An independent Planning Inspector reviewed the Plan and sent a report to Staffordshire County Council on 25 November 2016. The report said the Plan could be adopted if changes were made. The adopted Plan includes these recommended changes.
Anyone unhappy with the adoption of the Minerals Local Plan for Staffordshire (2015–2030) can apply to the High Court under Section 113 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.
The application must claim that the Plan is outside the council’s powers or that a legal process was not followed.
This application must be made within six weeks of the adoption date.
