Care in your own home

Explore housing and care options in Staffordshire, from staying at home to supported housing and care homes.

Overview

Staying in your own home doesn’t mean you have to manage alone. There are services that can help you stay independent, safe, and comfortable where you live.

What’s available

  • Home care support – Regular visits from a care worker to help with daily tasks like washing, dressing, and preparing meals.
  • Reablement support – Short-term care to help you regain confidence and skills after illness, injury, or a hospital stay.

Who can get help

Support is available for adults who need extra help because of age, illness, disability, or after a period in hospital. Some services are free for a limited time, while others may involve a financial contribution.
