Specialist safeguarding units
These are small teams of social workers who help keep children and young people safe.
They work with children who are at serious risk of harm or who need a lot of help.
This is called Level 4 support.
What do they do?
- Help children who are not safe at home
- Support families with serious problems
- Work with other services like schools, health and police
- Make sure children are protected and cared for
