Check if you need a financial assessment

A financial assessment looks at your income, savings and some expenses to decide your weekly contribution for care. Ask for one if you might need ongoing care or want to know if we can help with costs.

A financial assessment works out how much you pay and how much the council can pay towards your eligible care and support.

Ask for one if:

  • you’ve had (or are booking) a care and support assessment and may need ongoing care
  • you want to check if the council can help with your care costs
  • you currently pay the full cost and your savings are going down
