Mental Health First Aid
To raise awareness of mental health and to help challenge the stigma which can surround it consider the benefits of having a mental health first aider in your workplace.
MHFA's are people who have volunteered and trained to recognise, understand and help colleagues experiencing mental health issues to get the support they need. There role is to listen, reassure and repond in a crisis.
Mental Health First Aiders, are also responsible for making sure teams know about the MindKind toolkit as part of their role to create a positive culture around mental health and encouraging open conversations.
Training for mental health first aiders is available through Entrust or on site training is available via the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Service.
